Living in Las Vegas is perfect for me.  Sin City.  Imaginations Haven.  The Mayor is an alleged former Mob Lawyer, a bucketful of local politicians are currently under Federal Investigation, then there’s the most amazing variety of people, events, visitors – and gambling.  Throw in a colorful past and a city that parties 24 hours a day with free alcohol, and how can a writer live anywhere else?

And people always ask me where I get my ideas.

Just last week there was a massive fire that turned out to be arson.  A few months ago we made the national news with floods.  Now I hear Elton John is negotiating a show here during Celine Dion’s hiatus.  I saw Jerry Lewis when he had car problems.

I won $500 gambling today.

Before I came to Vegas I was a gypsy.  I lived six months here, a year there.  I loved moving – the chaos, the excitement of something new – is it any wonder I wound up in Vegas?

I grew up in New England, and yes, I’m a die-hard Patriots fan.  I still have quite a bit of family back there, a brother who I am very close to, my mother who is the one I spend all my long distance calls on, three beautiful nieces whom I love dearly, and a scattering of others.

I dragged my husband to Vegas with me, he grew up in Maine, and this city shocked and intrigued him right from the start.  I think a single Casino here might just have more people in it on any given weekend than the entire population of his hometown in Maine.  In fact, I’m sure of it.

The Strip is a world unto it own.   If I were to put some of the things that happen there in a book, no one would believe it.  But the rest of the town is very similar to any other town in any other state ~ okay, except for the slot machines in the grocery stores.

The gypsy finally settled down and bought a house.  Now I can't move, I have way to much "stuff."  Why is it that no matter where you live, you manage to accumulate the most amazing amount of things?  I used to be able to pack my car with everything I owned.  Now, I'd have to be driving a tractor trailer.

I have accumulated some good things though, I have four cats that constantly keep me amused, a wonderful husband of 10 years, and friends that I couldn't live without.  I have a day job in technology that keeps the electric bill paid, and at night I get to write about murder and romance in worlds I create.

Now that I've told you about me, I hope you enjoy my books.
